5 hours of Skype makes for one VERY tired girl.

It's definitely been one of those weeks. I've been soooo tired and sooooo stressed. I'm really starting to regret signing up for Sociology. That class seriously puts me to sleep like everyday. And it doesn't help that I have english like right after and I have a hard enough time paying attention without wanting to take a nap. Speaking of which, my English 101 prof is soooo dumb. She is really dumb...forreal (: Anyways...I'm pretty convinced that she doesn't really know what she's doing...and she ALWAYS waits till like the last 3 minutes of class to explain our homework and rarely answers emails when we have questions about it. Seriously cannot wait till this quarter is over...But I'm pretty stoked that I get to sign up for winter quarter on Thursday, even though I'm probably gonna be even busier. I've started going to 2 Institute classes which is pretty cool. For those of you that have never heard of it, it's like a religion class. I get credit for it, but not college credit. But I can graduate from the Institute program if I get enough creds.

@ Campus-U-Tote-Em (:
the people playin this EPIC game
The group with 2 of the scary people.
Even though the week was kinda crappyish, this weekend was BY FAR the  best weekend I've had since I got here. Friday night, Jamie, Maureen and I walked to this place called Campus-U-Tote-Em where they have awesome burgers and milkshakes. Then we walked to this fro-yo place and I tried this super yummy green caramel apple fro-yo. And I was supposed to watch a movie with the two of them when we got back...but we ended up walkin into an EPIC game of Twister and we couldn't resist watching. Once the game was pretty much over, we were gonna watch the movie...but I ended up talkin on the phone haha. Slept in SUPER late Saturday morning. Spent the day NOT doing homework and playin some Trivial Pursuit. Yupp, pretty terrible at that game. Then Saturday night we went to the crazy awesome haunted corn maze where we ended up takin pics with the scary people. Or in my case, I ended up asking like 5 of them to run off to Vegas with me to get married (: It was SOOOO much fun. Saturday night/Sunday morning I ended up talkin to my beeeeest fraaaan in Utah. College Boy & I skyped for FIVE hours. It was pretty much the highlight of my weekend, even though he did fall asleep a couple times (he won't admit it...haha). And yes I paid the price for not going to bed till 7 in the AM and having to wake up at 9:45...but worth it? You don't even know (:

But alas, here I am at yet another Monday...and I must bid you farewell till the next (:
Here's to keepin my fingers crossed for a better week (:

Plans change, such is life.

So my original intent was to start writing this before I actually left for college. Just jot down some thoughts and feelings and stuff like that, ya know? Well obviously that didn't happen since I am well into my 3rd week of college and this is my very first post.  But I suppose I should catch you up on some of the highlights of my first few weeks of college.
We had orientation called Wildcat Welcome Weekend our first 4 days here. It kinda sucked but hey, I survived! Got all settled in with my awesome roomie Maureen. And we bought a fish! His name is Gillfin Carlkevin and he's quite the handsome fish if I do say so myself (:
Checked out this dealy called The Bite of the Burg. Got some good free food and about a million free pens. Pretty sure I'm gonna have plenty to get me through college haha. Then classes began...
This quarter I'm taking English 101 (hate it), Sociology 101 (hate it even more), University 101 (it's lame but I have Jamie to keep in company), & Psychology 101 (it's ight, got a pretty awesome prof who makes it more interesting).
We've met pretty awesome people. I live in a pod. To those of you who don't know what that is, there's a door in the hall that leads into a "room" with 5 other rooms inside. So you could say I share a room with 8 other girls. I know it sounds like it could get pretty crazy, but we have AWESOME girls in there (: Living in the pod has a slight disadvantage though. It seems as though people have a fear of going past the pod door even though it's ALWAYS open. But luckily these crazy awesome boys faced the "fear" and introduced themselves to us! We all became close friends and now I practically live in their room haha. All around, Kamola's a pretty sweet dorm, even though we're nick-named "the nerds".
I survived my first college exam. Not sure how I did yet, but I'm keepin my fingers crossed! Right now I'm working on surviving my first college paper...so wish me luck there! But I'm pretty proud that I haven't missed a single class and I'm staying on top of my grades.
I'm sure everything sounds fine and dandy, but I've had my fair share of hard times. Schoolwork gets overloaded, people piss you off, and life just gets all around confusing. There's days where I just wanna quit. But I'm no quitter. And there's no way I'd let down the people who worked so hard to get me here. So here's goes nothing. I'm gonna work hard to keep you all updated. Stayed tuned for more stories from this small town girl.
